What separates a transparent formula from a marketing blend, ingredient by ingredient.
Most men skip straight past the Supplement Facts panel to the marketing copy. That's exactly backwards — the label is where the real information lives.
The single biggest tell: are ingredients listed individually with their own amounts, or lumped into a "proprietary blend" with one combined number? A named list — like the twelve ingredients on the AlphaTrust label — lets you actually evaluate what you're taking. A blend tells you nothing about individual dosing.
FDA-registered facility. GMP-certified. Made in the USA. None of these alone guarantee effectiveness, but together they're a reasonable baseline signal of manufacturing consistency and quality control.
Watch for language promising overnight results. Ingredients with genuine research behind them — Tongkat Ali and Ashwagandha included — consistently show a multi-week build in the studies behind them, not a same-day switch.
A 14-day return window doesn't give a gradual-build supplement a fair shot. A 60-day window is a far more reasonable amount of time to actually judge whether something is working.
Some "energy" formulas lean on caffeine to manufacture a noticeable — if temporary — effect. That's a fundamentally different product than one built around nutritional and adaptogenic support, and it's worth knowing which one is actually in your hand.
